Funeral services for Elsie Hidalgo Marcotte Dumesnil will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10 a.m., and continuing until time of service. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Marcotte, Heath “Bucky” Lovell, Don Corwin, William Marcotte, Jeremy Marcotte, Joshua Pellerin, Nicholas Curry and Beau Bush.
Elsie was born in Franklin on November 3, 1930 to Lionel Hidalgo Sr. and Lizzie Crochet Hidalgo. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away at the age of 83 on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at her home.
Survivors include seven children, Ginger M. Lovell and her husband, Timothy; Bonnie M. Martin; Diane M. Corwin and her husband, Don; Robert Marcotte; Scott Marcotte; Angela M. Pellerin and her husband, Al; and Billy Marcotte and his wife, Judy; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Emile Marcotte Jr; and one brother, Lionel “T-Nel” Hidalgo Jr.
The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Heart of Hospice of Franklin for the loving and compassionate care given to Mrs. Elsie.
