ERNEST ‘PANK’ BLANKS SR.

Ernest “Pank” Blanks Sr., 76, a native and a resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center, at 11:50 a.m.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 8 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery on Main Street in Franklin. Min. Carl Lewis will officiate the services.
“Pank” leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Debra Blanks of Franklin; five daughters, Mrs. Hosie (Linda) Henderson, Pastor Kenneth (Angela) Walton, Mrs. Gary (Pamela) Romes and Mrs. Donoven (Jessica) Rudolph, all of California, and Mrs. Derek (Kessie) Neville of Franklin; four sons, Ernest Blanks Jr. of California, Jamal Johnson of Franklin, Nick Johnson Sr. of Baker and Henry Johnson of New Iberia; one sister, Annie King of Lake Charles; 26 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a special niece; a special nephew; two special friends; and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Blanks was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.
