Evelyn ‘Boonie’ Gabriel-Esparza

Evelyn “Boonie” Gabriel-Esparza, 41, a native of Sorrel and a resident of San Antonio, Texas, died Friday, April 18, 2014.
Visitation will be Saturday at Little Zion Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Nazarene Cemetery in Verdunville.
Survivors include her husband, Emilio Esparza Jr. of San Antonio; a son, Eleazar Esparza of San Antonio; three daughters, Anubrea Alexander, Alanvea Alexander and Elescia Esparza, all of San Antonio; a brother, Joseph B. Williams Jr. of Verdunville; six sisters, Martha Butler Sr. of Memphis, Tenn., Charlottemaine Austin of Charlotte, N.C., Carolyn Paul of Verdunville, Olivia W. McChristian of Galveston, Texas, and Rose A. Rhine and Marjorie W. Davis Sr., both of Patterson; and a grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
