FRANCISCO AURELIO GONZALEZ-LINARES

Francisco Aurelio Gonzalez-Linares, a native of Sagua La Grande Province of Las Villas, Cuba, and a 52-year resident of Morgan City, passed away Sept. 11, 2015, at his residence at the age of 84.
Francisco is survived by his wife of 57 years, Socorro Santiago Linares “Cuqui” of Morgan City; two sons, Francisco Eduardo Linares and wife, Teresa Nancy Vitteri Linares, of Boyds, Maryland, and Ignacio Andres Linares and wife, Melissa Ray Linares; six grandchildren, Melissa, Eric, Nicholas, Nathan, Crystal and Kristen; two great-grandchildren, Emilia and Liliana; a sister, Maria Luisa Linares; and a brother, Jose Luis Linares.
Francisco was preceded in death by his father, Eduardo Gonzales-Linares; his mother, Luciana Garcia Linares; two sisters, Rita Jaureguizar and Maria Josefa Purdon; and three brothers, Eduardo Linares MD, Florencio Linares and Carlos Linares.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Francisco will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
