Frank Peter Grizzaffi Jr., 77, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015.
Frank was a successful second-generation local business owner and operator of Grizzaffi Appliance & Furniture Co. He took great pride in his business and community and treated his customers with respect. As much pride as he took in his business, nothing could surpass the love and devotion he had for his family. Frank’s family was his greatest joy.
Frank was a devoted Catholic who attended services every week until he was no longer able and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Patterson. Frank’s legacy and impact on others will never be forgotten.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Janice Ann Prestenbach Grizzaffi, of Morgan City; one son, Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi III and wife, Jodi, of Morgan City; two daughters, Pamela Elkins and husband, Clint, of Beaumont, Texas, and Paige Haley and husband, Tim, of Mandeville; seven grandchildren, Blake, Morgan, Kennedy, Addison, Julia, Quinn and Kate; two brothers, Leo Grizzaffi Sr. and wife, Tena, of Morgan City, and Abbie Grizzaffi and wife, Yvonne, of Morgan City; along with one sister, Belva Myers and husband, J.D., of Morgan City.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Randall Grizzaffi Sr.; one sister, Alice Grizzaffi Vial; and one brother, Ronald A. Grizzaffi Sr.
Visitation will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, beginning at 8 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Frank will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the Mass of Christian Burial.
