Geraine “Janie” Duplantis Clements

Geraine “Janie” Duplantis Clements went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family in Houston, Texas, after a lengthy battle with frontaltemporal temporal Dementia.
She was born in Morgan City on Dec. 10, 1935, to Noelton J. and Georgie Falgout Duplantis.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, E.A. “Clem” Clements; daughters, Pamala Ann Veazey and her husband, Michael, Catherine Marie Bang and her husband, John, and Patricia Ann Clancy and her husband, Larry; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Daniel Duplantis and his wife, Patricia; and a sister, Diane Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David L. Duplantis; and a grandson, Lawrence O. Clancy.
A Rosary will take place at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, followed by visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church, 6646 Addicks Satsuma Road, Houston, TX 77084, at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, with burial to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
