Gloria Provost

Gloria Provost, 71, a resident of Birmingham, Ala., and a native of Jeanerette, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. 

Visitation will be Saturday at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 12310 E. Highway 90 in Jeanerette, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette. Officiating will be the Rev. Ellis Provost. 

Survivors include four sons, Reginald Provost Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas, the Rev. Ellis Provost of Birmingham, Ala., Leonard Provost of Beaumont, Texas, and Joshua Provost Sr. of Nederland, Texas; one daughter, Yolanda Lavine of Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, Raymond Sam Sr. of Jeanerette; four sisters, Martha Casimere of Oklahoma, Annie Keal of Jeanerette, Elvina Patin of Grand Marais, and Victoria Olivier of Morgan City; 21 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
