Hayward Verdun

Hayward Verdun, 77, a native and resident of Verdunville, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Tulane University Hospital. 

Hayward was a veteran of the United States Army. 

Visitation will be Saturday at St. Jules Catholic Church, 601 Magnolia St., Franklin, from 8 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia S. Verdun of Verdunville; four sons, Hayward A. Verdun of Verdunville, Terrance O. Verdun of Bakersfield, Calif., Galen Verdun of Franklin, and Courtland Verdun of New Orleans; three daughters, Deon D. Coates of Cincinnati, Shannon Verdun of Verdunville, and Victoria A. Matthews of Baldwin; one sister, Irma Thomas of Yaden, Penn.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
