Ismay Marie ‘Maw Maw’ Theriot

Ismay Theriot, a native of Chauvin, longtime resident of Houma and former resident of Amelia, passed away Sept. 29, 2013, in Patterson at the age 85.
Ismay is survived by four daughters, Bernise Theriot of Centerville, Verna Ponvelle and her husband, Carroll, of Thibodaux, Diana Theriot of Houma and Darlene Savoy and her husband, Calvin, of Centerville. Ismay also is survived by eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ismay as preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Theriot; her parents, Gilbert Bergeron and Marie Blanchard Bergeron; two brothers; four sisters; and her great-grandson, Gavin Chilton.
A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
