JACQUES O'NEAL SICARD

Jacques O’Neal Sicard passed from this world Sunday morning, Aug. 16, 2015. During his five short months here on Earth, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by many relatives and friends. After struggling with pulmonary hypertension, he passed gently into the arms of Jesus.
Jacques was born on March 17, 2015, and is the son of Scott and Emily Sicard, and little brother to Maya. Jacques was so loved by his family; he was a precious gift given to us by God. Each person he encountered he touched in a profound way. His stay here on Earth may have been short, but it was unforgettable. He will forever live in our hearts and our memories. He was loved by so many and his fight teaches us hope. Heavy are our hearts, but Jacques suffers no more. He is in heaven with Jesus among family waiting for our arrival.
He is survived by his mother and father; his big sister, Maya; his grandparents, Stephen and Donis Johns, Linda Johns, Don and Elizabeth Morgan, and Dennis Sicard; his great-grandparents, Gloria Rogers, Wrendal Nealy and Carl Joseph “Bob” Sicard; his aunts and uncles, Leigh Sicard, Abbey Sicard, Neal Sicard and Christopher Johns; and many more great-aunts and great-uncles.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Layton and Maxine Johns, ONeal Rogers and Catherine Sicard, and Gwendolyn Dale Ball.
Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana, on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
