JAKE J. PILLARO JR.

December 11, 1933 - August 8, 2015
Jake J. Pillaro Jr., 81, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Jake was born on Dec. 11, 1933, in Franklin, the son of Jake J. Pillaro Sr. and Eva Sanders.
Jake was an electrician by trade and was a television repairman for Sears for many years. When he was younger, he loved to bowl with his wife and also loved going camping with his children. He enjoyed carpentry work and was a man who could fix almost anything. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and Elvis, and enjoyed watching westerns, especially those with John Wayne.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five children, Jake J. Pillaro III and wife, Debra, of Morgan City, Ricky Pillaro of Morgan City, Christine Farias and husband, John, of Morgan City, Bernardine Jaet and husband, Michael, of Seabrook, Texas, and Jeremiah J. Pillaro and wife, Kim, of Morgan City; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn Falcone; and two brothers, John Pillaro and Phillip Pillaro.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Ann Raymond Pillaro; one son, Sidney P. Pillaro; one grandson, Anthony W. Pillaro; and three brothers, Dallas Martin, Raymond Martin and Tony Pillaro.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Jake will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following funeral services.
