JAMES ‘UNCLE JAMES’/ ‘JACK OF ALL TRADES’ MOORE
James “Uncle James”/“Jack of all Trades” Moore, 55, a native of Lafayette and resident of Verdunville, died Friday, October 31, 2014, at his residence, at 8:29 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 8 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Israelite Cemetery in Centerville. At the request of the immediate family, there will be no public viewing.
James leaves to cherish his memories his beloved son, James Anthony Stevenson-Moore and a daughter, Jamika B. Stevenson-Moore, both of Centerville; three grandchildren; seven sisters, Geraldine Hart, Carolyn Boatman, Evelyn Mack and Delores Stewart, all of Franklin, Catherine Broussard and Mrs. Victor (Linda) Lashley, both of Verdunville, and Mrs. Eddie (Diane) Freeman of New Iberia; his name sake and only surviving maternal uncle; his former spouse, Nevelyn Stevenson-Moore of Verdunville; a dearly devoted friend; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
