JAMES LEONARD 'BO DIDDLY’ SIMS

James Leonard “Bo Diddly” Sims, 68, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:45 p.m., at his residence.
Visitation will be at Saturday, October 26, at Magnolia United Church from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Blue Lily Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Freddie Mae Poindexter-Sims of Thibodaux; a son, James L. Sims Jr.; and a daughter, Eve Marie Duncan, all of Thibodaux; four brothers, Delbert Sims, Clinton Sims and Sydney Sims, all of Thibodaux, and Kevin Smith of Morgan City; nine sisters, Barbara Baker, Mildred McGee, Denice Washington and Stephanie Washington, all of Thibodaux, Rebecca Southall, Louise Ellis, Karen Smith, Jolene Smith of Franklin and Resepta Smith of Morgan City; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandmothers, one brother and a brother-in-law.
