JANICE ELAINE GAUDET

Janice Elaine Gaudet, 66, was called to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015, at 7:15 p.m. after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She peacefully passed in her home as she was surrounded by family and friends.
Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved everyone, especially her family and spending time with them for family gatherings at her house. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing games on the computer where she made many friends. She was a longtime resident of Amelia and worked at J.S. Aucoin for many years.
Elaine was truly a blessing to all, but especially to her children, grandchildren, and husband just as Proverbs 31:28-29 says: Her children rise up and call her blessed, and her husband praises her and says, “many women have done wonderful things, but you surpass them all.” She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Ivis Gaudet Sr. of Amelia; five sons, Ronald “Ronnie” Robichaux and wife Heidi, David Dawson, Howard Gaudet and wife Trish, Ivis “Butch” Gaudet Jr. and wife Meghann, Leander “Peanut” and Jake Gaudet her sons in heart; four daughters, Sondra Gaudet Daigle and husband Lee, Tonya Dawson, Ursula Gaudet Crawford, Susan “Susie” Gaudet, Tracy Bercegeay and husband Brandon her daughters in heart; and 13 grandchildren, Ronald III “Trey”, Jacob, Angel, Trey, Scotty, Nathan, Conner, Austin, Chase, Claire, Marquis, Kaden and Josh. Elaine is also survived by one brother, Kirk Broussard and wife Melissa; three sisters, Joellen King, Marie Stevens and husband David, and Angela Broussard Gilfour and husband Troy; best friend and wonderful caretaker, Rozanna “Rosy” Worley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Euclide “E.J.” Broussard; mother, Olive Broussard, Doris Vance Cockran; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Broussard Sr. and Kenny Ray Rowell; and sister, Patricia “Pat” Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home with a visitation being held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
