JERRY LUCIUS PERCLE SR.

December 11, 1933 -July 10, 2015
Jerry Lucius Percle Sr., 81, a resident of Berwick, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 10, 2015, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Jerry was born on Dec. 11, 1933, in Berwick, the son of Charles Percle Sr. and Myrtle Fromenthal Percle.
Jerry’s journey on this earth ended so now he can live eternal life in paradise. He was a loving and caring man who loved his family and had a great compassion for animals. Jerry was a simple man who loved life, his family, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always generous to everyone, as he would give away whatever he would catch, never keeping any for himself. Jerry dedicated his life to his work as a crew boat captain, always providing for his family, which he loved so dearly.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three children, Kathy Pinkard and husband, Michael, of Bayou L’Ourse, Janet Percle of Bayou L’Ourse and Jerry L. Percle Jr. of Berwick; nine grandchildren, Mellissa Alleman, Dallas Lynn Gallegos, Kovee Lynn Gregory, Kenneth E. Gregory III, Corey Lee Percle, James Lee Percle, Ciara Marie Percle, Darla Rose Percle and Selena Marie Percle; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Percle Sr. and Myrtle Fromenthal Percle; his wife, Markita Rose Percle; his daughter, Rhonda Lee Percle; and one brother, Charles Percle Jr.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Twin City Gospel Church in Berwick. The visitation will resume at 10 a.m. today, Monday, July 13, 2015, until, and again from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Twin City Gospel. After the services, Jerry will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
