JOHN ‘BONE MAN’ BOAGNI

John “Bone Man” Boagni, 64, a native of Lafayette and a resident of Franklin, died Friday, August 8, 2014 at 8:38 p.m., at his residence in Franklin.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, at the Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Franklin. Minister Kim Jones will officiate the services.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gertie Jones-Boagni of Franklin; two sons, Derrick John Boagni of Palmetto, La. and John Kentrell Boagni of Franklin; five daughters, Shermane Denise Boagni of New Orleans, Melisa Cummings of New Iberia, LaShona Cornelius of Opelousas, Mrs. Patrick (Rhonda) Harris of Baldwin and Kristine Johnson of Beaumont, Texas; four brothers, Charlie “Cop-Cop” Boagni of Franklin, Calvin Boagni and Clarence Guillory, both of Opelousas and Joseph Guillory of Texas; one sister, Mrs. Joe (Alice) Prince of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
“Bone Man” was preceded in death by his parents.
