JONATHAN ALAN SYKES

A Memorial Service will be held for Jonathan Alan Sykes, 32, November 9, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a Discourse starting at 2 p.m., at the City Club, 1014 East Dale St. in New Iberia.
Jonathan was born September 5, 1981 to the proud parents Alan Harvey Sykes and Alice Clausen Sykes Perret. Jonathan was happiest when he was helping people. He was mechanically inclined and had better than 20/20 vision, which made it easy for him to fix just about anything. Jonathan, employed by Locations Maintenance Service of New Iberia, was in training as a diesel mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Jared Barnabas Sykes.
Jonathan is survived by his son, William Jonathan; his wife, Trisha B. Sykes and his stepchildren, Tristan, Trenton “Bubba” and Tierany of New Iberia; his father, Alan H. Sykes of Berwick; mother, Alice Clausen Sykes Perret and stepfather, Joseph “Joey” Perret of New Iberia; two brothers, Matthew Dale Sykes and wife, Jessica G. of New Iberia; and David Alan Sykes and wife, Frances M. of Rayne; two sisters, Jeanne Lake Milner and husband, Fred, of Florida and Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Sykes of Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and loved ones who will all greatly miss him.
