JOSEPH ‘JOE LOUIS’ McGEE SR.

Joseph “Joe Louis” McGee Sr., 75, a native of Four Corners, died Monday, October 6, 2014, at 7:10 a.m., in Baton Rouge.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Our lady of the Rosary Church, 11200 Old Jeanerette Rd. in Jeanerette, with a rosary being recited at 10 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dismas Mauk, SVD, serving as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the Sorrel Community Cemetery in Sorrel.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria Owens of Los Angeles, Calif.; son, Joseph McGee Jr. of Jeanerette; daughters, Pamela McGee of Houston, Texas and Carolyn McGee of Baton Rouge; two sons, Donald and Steven McGee, and daughter, Malviola McGee, of Jeanerette; grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and close friends who held him dear to their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
