JOSEPH AURELIAN ‘IKE’ BURKE II

A memorial service celebrating the life of Joseph Aurelian “Ike” Burke II will be held Friday, March 14, 2014, at 6 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Pastor Brad Bullock will officiate the service.
Ike was a native and resident of Franklin, having spent his youth being raised in Centerville. He passed away at the age of 60 on Monday, March 10, 2014, at his home. He was a loving husband, father, “Papy”, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who loved spending time with his family and friends. His passion in life was living on the water, yanking anchors. “Just sayin...”
Survivors include his wife, Frances Seaneen Malloy Burke; three daughters, Shondra B. Louviere and her husband, Ian; Shira Burke and her companion, Coby Broussard and Shyanne Burke; two brothers, Francis C. “Cook” Burke and his wife, Lynnie and Eddie P. Burke and his wife, Debora; two sisters, Linda B. Hall and Charlotte B. McBride and her husband, Glen; his mother-in-law, Kate Malloy; four grandchildren, Shayna Muffoletto Burke, Alyssa Burke, Kaitlyn Louviere and Kayne Luke Broussard and one step grandson, Laiton Louviere.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Curtis Burke Sr. and Goldie Boudreaux Burke; his son, Shayne Michael Burke and his father-in-law, Frank Malloy.
