JOSEPH JOHNSON

Joseph Johnson, 78, a native of St. Mary Parish and resident of Jeanerette, died Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 12:24 p.m., at Iberia Medical Center.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Ashton, from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Church Cemetery.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rita Mae Johnson of Four Corners; five sons, Larry Johnson, Clifford Johnson Sr., Corey Johnson and Ellery Johnson, all of Four Corners, and Tyrone Johnson of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Margaret Jones of Abbeville, Marian Jones of Four Corners, Mrs. Donald (Karen) Grimm of Baldwin and Kimberly Johnson of Four Corners; one brother, Emile Johnson of Houston; a daughter-in-law; a sister in-law; a brother-in-law; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers and four sisters.
