Kathryn Ann Landry Mayon Barras

Kathryn Ann Landry Mayon Barras, 66, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Kathryn was born to Louis “Mann” and Edmae Landry Sr. on March 17, 1948. Kathryn enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and especially the time spent with her grandbabies. She loved to travel and meet new people wherever she would end up. Kathryn was an avid Saints fan and loved cheering them on to victory. Kathryn will be truly missed but never forgotten by all who loved her.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Sidney Barras, of Morgan City; two sons, Kevin Mayon and wife, Karen, of Morgan City, and Brian Mayon and companion, Tessie Verrett, of Morgan City; one daughter, Susan Mayon and companion, Mary Perez, of Marrero; eight grandchildren, Courtney and Craig Mayon, Ashley Hernandez, Megan and Nicole Mayon, and Lauren, Brooke and Sarah Dupuis; five great-grandchildren, Landon, Lacey and Lilah Hernandez, and Maddison Miracle and Zane Walker; two brothers, Louis “Johnny” Landry Jr. and Mark Landry; and two sisters, Paulette Kennerson and husband, Roger, and Monica Sue LeBlanc and husband, Oza.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald “Jerry” Mayon; and parents, Louis “Mann” and Edmae Adams Landry Sr.
Visitation will take place at Twin City Funeral Home today, Friday, Oct. 3, beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday, Oct. 4, at the funeral home starting at 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Kathryn will be laid to rest following the service in the Morgan City Cemetery.
