L.J. “MAN” LEBLANC

October 5, 1927 – Nov. 14, 2016
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian burial for L.J. “Man” LeBlanc, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin who passed away at the age of 89 on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at the Franklin Health Care Center following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Peter Emusa will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Shayde LeBlanc, Brad Markerson, Keith Ortego, Troy Delahoussaye, Hunter Markerson, and Ray Concienne.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until time of dismissal at 1:30 p.m.
Man is survived by his son, Keith P. LeBlanc and his wife Debbie; his daughter, Cheryl L. Harris and her husband David; one sister, Anna Mae Boothe; six grandchildren, Sandy H. Ortego and her husband Keith, Becky H. Delahoussaye and her husband Troy, Rachel L. Markerson and her husband Brad, Shayde LeBlanc and his wife Rachel, Nick Russell, and Michelle DiBenedetto and her husband Kevin; 13 great grandchildren, Christine, Kelly, Taylor, Hunter, Courtney, Lanie, Brennan, Katie, Landon, Ethan, Ella, Gia, and Gracie; his former wife, Clarice “Dee”; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Naquin LeBlanc; his parents, Frank LeBlanc Sr. and Mittie Cowan LeBlanc; three brothers, Patrick LeBlanc, Jesse LeBlanc, and Frank “Dookie” LeBlanc Jr.; and one sister, Thelma “Sis” Dupre.
