Lois Doiron Stephens

Lois Doiron Stephens, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at her residence at the age 83.
Lois is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ashley J. Stephens; her daughters, Debra A. Stephens and Karen S. Reed; her son-in-law, Andrew “Andy” Reed; a brother, Larry Doiron and his wife, Frances; grandchildren, Sarah Gray Tessler and her husband, Louie Tessler, and Amanda Stephens Boudreaux and her husband, Christopher Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Zane Tessler, Jake Tessler, AshleyMay Catrett and Robbie Boudreaux; a host of nieces and nephews; and her extended family, the Thorgusons, Amy and her husband, Brian, Gunnar, Owen, and Henry; and the Reeds, Ben and his wife, Jana, Gabe, Bella, Fletcher, and Jessie James. She is also survived by her best friend, Genevieve Mire Michel.
She was predeceased by her parents, Davis F. Doiron and Florence Pennison Doiron; and her sister, Velma Sivadon.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at 5 p.m. with a memorial service taking place at 6 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Immanuel Baptist Church, Immanuel Christian School, Cerebral Palsy Foundation or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
