LOUIS JOSEPH PLAISANCE

September 26, 1922-July 19, 2015
Louis Joseph Plaisance, born in Patterson and a resident of Berwick for the past 73 years, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015. He was 92 and had lived a beautiful and full life.
Louis is survived by his wife of 73 years, Billie Gilmore Plaisance; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Plaisance; three grandchildren, Dee Acosta and her husband, Jerry, Owen Plaisance and his companion, Charlene Blanco, and Paula Plaisance and her companion, Billy Boudreaux; five great-granddaughters, Jewal Breard and her husband, Lee, Carley Plaisance, Brittany Foster and her husband, Hayden, Celena Berger, and Sky Acosta; five great-great-grandchildren, Melody, Quint, Ainsley, Jace and Jaxen; and one brother, R.J. Plaisance.
Louis was preceded in death by his son, Dwight Plaisance; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Plaisance; three sisters; and one brother.
Louis has been retired from Texaco Blakeman Island Recycling Plant for the past 37 years after 35 years of dedicated service. When not working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family. Louis spent most of his time taking them on fun vacations, where they made wonderful memories filled with laughter. Louis was the family member who took care of all those loose odds and ends around the house. His absence will be felt.
Graveside services for Louis will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Berwick Mausoleum.
