LOUISE DYER FOUQUIER HARGRAVE
August 7, 1935 – January 13, 2017
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Louise Dyer Fouquier Hargrave. She was laid to rest in Perpetual Park Cemetery mausoleum. Father Lloyd Benoit was the Celebrant for the Mass and conducted the services. Serving as pallbearers were her four grandsons, Chad Fouquier, Nick Fouquier, Jamon Vaccarella, and Kevin Fouquier II, her son-in-law, Jody Vaccarella, and grandson-in-law, Ben Myers. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Sherwin, Bennie Wayne Cunningham, Roy Dyer, Raymond Dyer, and Wayne Dyer.
A gathering of family and friends was held Sunday, Jan. 15, at Ibert’s Mortuary of Franklin from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitations resumed Monday at Ibert’s at 10 a.m. and continued until time of dismissal at 1:30 p.m.
Louise was a native of Oakdale and has resided in Franklin for the past 64 years. She passed away at the age of 81 on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, August Hargrave; three children, Homer J. Fouquier Jr., Janet F. Vaccarella and her husband Jody, and Kevin Fouquier and his wife Christine; eight grandchildren, Chad Fouquier and his wife Holly, Nick Fouquier, Jaci V. Myers and her husband Ben, Jamon Vaccarella and his wife Mia, Kevin Fouquier II, Victoria Fouquier, Analise Fouquier, and Carmen Louise Fouquier; six great grandchildren, Lucas Myers, Lola Myers, Ladd Myers, Owen Vaccarella, Cooper Vaccarella, and Natalie Richenberger; five siblings, Roy Dyer, Raymond Dyer, Wayne Dyer, Jo Ann Dyer, and Karen Fairchild; dear family friend, Valarie Pender; four step-daughters, Susan Doucet, Debra Suire, Tonya Hargrave, and Terri Lynn Hoffpauir and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Homer J. Fouquier Sr.; her father, Grover Cleveland Dyer; her mother and step-father, Annie Legg Dyer Farris and Ollie Farris; and three brothers, D.C. Dyer, Kyle Dyer, and Glenn Dyer.
