LULA MAE B. HOCK

Funeral services for Lula Mae B. Hock, who passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the Franklin Health Care Center, was held at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Friday, Dec. 19, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin. She was laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit was the Celebrant of the Mass and conducted the services. A gathering of family and friends was held Friday at the church, from 11 a.m. until Mass time, with the rosary being prayed at 12:15 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers were Herman LeBourgeois, Jeffery Delaune, Kirt Delaune, Sid Boudreaux, Don Boudreaux and Tim Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers were Philip LeBourgeois, Sam Horton and Earl Bouton.
Lula Mae was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who worked as a bookkeeper at the Pepsi-Cola Plant in Franklin, Franklin Wholesale, as well as Clem’s Jewelry. In her younger years she worked as a sales clerk at Silverman’s. She was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Assumption and had many friends with which she traveled to numerous places. She also enjoyed playing Pokeno, of which she belonged to several clubs, and was a great seamstress, sewing for her daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters.
Survivors include her three daughters, Lula Ann Hock of Lafayette, Dottie LeBourgeois Broussard and her husband, Wayne of Abbeville; and Sue H. Delaune and her husband, Buzz, of Franklin; five grandchildren, Herman LeBourgeois and his wife, Simone; Heidi L. Ligon and her husband, Rob; Heather L. Horton and her husband, Brian; Jeffery Delaune and his wife, Erin; and Kirt Delaune; and seven great grandchildren, Philip and Jamie LeBourgeois, Avery and Abby Ligon and Grace, Sam and Kate Horton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman P. Hock; her parents, Ambrose Boudreaux Sr. and Sidonia Olivier Boudreaux; two brothers, Herman D. Boudreaux and Ambrose Boudreaux Jr.; and one son-in-law, A.J. “Brother” LeBourgeois. Family and friends may view the obituary and express their condolences online by visiting www.iberts.com.
