MALCOM T. BARNES

Mr. Malcom T. Barnes, 70, a resident of Houma and native of Franklin, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at 5:57 a.m., at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Willie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin.
Survivors include one son, Aubrey Barnes of Aurora, IL; one daughter, Shannon B. Goldsmith of Shreveport; one brother, James L. Barnes of Franklin; four sisters, Melba B. Isadore of Port Arthur, TX, Myrtle B. Williams of Berkeley, CA, Evelyn B. Daniel of Hammond and Carolyn B. Cumming of Franklin; and six grandchildren.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
