Margaret Estelle Miller Castay

Margaret Estelle Miller Castay, a native of New Orleans, passed away suddenly of natural causes at her home, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013. She was 71. 
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard, of whom she was a devoted caretaker, from December 2007 until his death in November 2012. They had been married 51 years.
Margaret is the mother of Howard Castay, owner of KBZE 1059FM in Morgan City, and KFRA 1390AM in Franklin.
She is also survived by Darlene Castay (Howard’s wife), and Allison Margaret Castay, (Howard’s sister).
Margaret was also the proud grandmother of Jason and John Arceneaux, and Chastity Arceneaux. She adored her five great-grandchildren, Samantha and Madison DeHart, and Ty, Braeden and Anna Arceneaux. 
Margaret is also survived by a special friend, Pam Heffner of Franklin. 
Margaret retired from Whitney Bank, treasuring more than 20 years. She worked a majority of that time as executive assistant for King Milling, president, and William Marks, chief executive officer. 
She attended Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and the American Banking Institute. 
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be a second visitation Wednesday Nov. 6 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 37303 Hwy 22 in Darrow, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow, with interment inside Oak Lane Memorial Park, 15304 Hwy. 73 in Prairieville.
