Margaret 'Margie' Franks

April 10, 1950 — January 30, 2015
Margaret “Margie” Franks, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, and resident of Morgan City, passed away Jan. 30, 2015, in Thibodaux at the age of 64.
Margie loved life and did her best to live it to the fullest every day, she never judged anyone, and always found a kind word and a smile for everyone. She enjoyed playing her guitar and was an author of mini short stories. Margie was an environmental engineer at Teche Regional Hospital for more than 10 years and at Ochsners for four years.
Margie is survived by her husband, James Franks; son, Shawn Keppers and wife, Becky; daughter, Sharleen Musselwhite; and grandchildren, Shelbi, Christopher, Ian, Brittany and Sam.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Jennie Schleichar.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 20, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue Saturday. Feb. 21, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel. Margie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to family to defray funeral expenses.
