MARLENE BELCHER RUTLAND

Marlene Belcher Rutland, a resident of Amite, died at 1:48 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015, at her home. She was born March 6, 1934, in Dorton, Kentucky, and was 81 years of age.
Marlene is survived by her grandchildren, Gay Lynn and Scott Addison of Amite and Terry J. II and Raylaine Knope of Kentwood; five great-granddaughters, Sarah Addison of Amite, Taylor Knope of Amite, Bridget Lambert of Kentwood, Zoe D. Knope of Kentwood and Zara B. Knope of Kentwood; three great-grandsons, Jody Lambert of Kentwood, Zachary Knope of Kentwood and Zamie Knope of Kentwood; one great-grandson, Aidan Joseph Lambert of Kentwood; two great-granddaughters, Alexi Harrell and Taylor Harrell; brothers and sister, Sylvia Jean Mizell of Morgan City, Patricia Croushore of Naples, Florida, Mike and Sharon Belcher of Ohio and Gerald and Fern Belcher of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace “Chuck” Rutland; daughter, Dianne R. Lipari; son, Keith W. Rutland; parents, William “Willie” and Dahlia Smallwood Belcher; sister, Priscilla Belcher; and brother, Conrad “Bo” Belcher.
Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015, and from 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015. Services will be conducted by Pastor Brenda Reid. Interment will be at Natalbany Cemetery, Independence.
