MARLENE GRIFFIN

Mrs. Marlene Griffin, 76, a resident of Patterson and native of Calumet, died Friday, September 12, 2014, at 8:45 a.m., at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma following a short illness.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Griffin of Patterson; one son, Joseph Favors of Patterson; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Favors Douglas of Patterson and Mrs. Ruby Jean Guillory of Welsh, La.; one brother, Lionel Favors of Delhi, La.; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one daughter,
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Good Hope Baptist Church, 908 Washington St. in Patterson.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Patrick T. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Shields Cemetery located on Williams St. in Patterson.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
