Marlene Griffin

Marlene Griffin, 76, a native of Calumet and resident of Patterson, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Griffin, of Patterson; one son, Joseph Favors, of Patterson; two daughters, Dorothy Favors Douglas, of Patterson, and Ruby Jean Guillory, of Welsh; one brother, Lionel Favors, of Delhi; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one daughter.
Visitation will be observed Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson. Burial rites will be read at the church Saturday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Shields Cemetery.
Otis Mortuary Inc. of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
