MARY CATHERINE “CATHY” HEBERT

August 20, 1947 – November 18, 2016
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Mary Catherine “Cathy” Hebert, a native of New Iberia, former longtime resident of Franklin, and a resident of Centerville for the past five years, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Friday, November 18, 2016. In keeping with her wishes, following the service she will be cremated with a private inurnment to be held at a later date.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert’s from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Blaise Smith will conduct the service.
Cathy worked for the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office as a Civil Service Clerk for many years. She loved going out to eat and visiting with family and friends and also enjoyed the company of her cats. Her passion in life though was her family, especially her great grandson Daxton. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her children, Blaine Peltier and Julie Peltier Hahn; her grandchildren, Donald E. Hahn Jr. and Dolores L. Hahn; her great grandson, Daxton P. Hahn; her siblings, Bruce Hebert, Neal Hebert, Debra Boudreaux, Freddie LaFont, Lonny LaFont, and Cheryl Duncan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maranda Peltier Perales; her parents, Raymond Claude Hebert and Eleonore Hebert; and one sister, Lenore Hebert.
