MARY JIM CROSS CLOUTIER

October 12, 1923-February 26, 2017
Mary Jim Cross Cloutier, 93, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Welsh, Louisiana, the daughter of Charles Franklin Cross and Hazel Cross.
Mary Jim was a selfless devotee to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters, where she prepared meals for funerals and accounted for collection money. She was also a member of the Morgan City Garden Club. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Sue C. Russell of Morgan City and James Edward Cloutier of Houma; one brother, Harry “Buddy” Cross and wife Joann of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Kasi Lodrigue of Ponchatoula, Kristen Gallagher of Haymarket, Virginia, Laura Cloutier of Berwick, Robert Russell of Morgan City, and James Errol Cloutier of Houma; step-grandchildren, Janel Poole and Sidby Garcia; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Jim was preceded in death by her husband, M. Errol Cloutier; parents, Charles F. Cross and Hazel C. Cross; brother, C. F. Cross; sisters, Charlene Lewis, Duane Mayon and Esther Maude Cross; and son-in-law, Kenneth Russell.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Twin City Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and resume Friday, March 3, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Mary Jim will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following Mass.
