Mary Lane Morrison Jones

LAFAYETTE — Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Spirit of Liberty Christian Fellowship, 2841 Louisiana Ave., Lafayette, for Mary Lane Morrison Jones, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013. Interment will be in Jacko Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bishop Williams of Leona, Texas.

Mary was a native of Morgan City and a resident of Breaux Bridge. 

She is survived by her husband, Pastor Lavin Jones Sr.; four children, Domita (Scory) Demouchet of Breaux Bridge, Linda A. Jones of Alexandria, Lavin (Stephanie) Jones Jr. of Breaux Bridge, and Marcus (Jenise) Jones of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren, James Jones, Terran Broussard, Blaire Jones, Kyra Jones, Ariel Ledet, Shawnde Amest; four great grandchildren, Tyren, Terran Jr., Cohen, Torren; three brothers, Robert Morrison Sr. of Santa Barbara, Calif., James Morrison of Patterson, and Thomas (Sandra) Morrison of Patterson; and three sisters, Pastor Evelyn B. Sears of Bayou Vista, Aljosie Morrison of Morgan City, and Marie (Jack) Pratt of Morgan City.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. and continues Saturday, Oct. 12, from 7 to 10 a.m.
