MARY MARGARET ROBICHEAUX LaCOSTE

February 1, 1950 — September 25, 2016
Mary Margaret Robicheaux LaCoste, 66, a resident of Amelia, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at her home.
She was born in Morgan City on Feb. 1, 1950, to Ruble and Agnes Keller Robicheaux. Mary was married to Jerry Preston LaCoste Sr., her husband of 50 years.
Mary was the heart of her family. Her passion was to cook. Her children and grandchildren were her life. Mary loved going to the camp with her husband Jerry, their friends and her family. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her porch enjoying Mother Nature. Mary worked for the St. Mary Parish School Board in the cafeteria for 17 years before she retired.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three sons, Eugene LaCoste and Amanda Rivere of Amelia, Jerry LaCoste Jr. and wife Christine of Morgan City, and Ruble LaCoste of Amelia; one daughter, Desiree LaCoste and companion Bethanna Merritt of Morgan City; 15 grandchildren, Kayla Gros, Jamie Lynn Sons, Donovan LaCoste, Dylan LaCoste, Marki Rivere, Matti Rivere, Devin LeBlanc, Drake LaCoste, Codey LaCoste, Zachary LaCoste, Kayla Landry, Thomas Landry, Devin Deshotel, Tyler Deshotel and Brooke Deshotel; and three great-grandchildren, McKenzie Holland, Drayden LaCoste and Brayleigh LaCoste.
She is also survived by her mother, Agnes Keller Robicheaux; and four sisters, Phyllis K. Parsiola, Elaine Blair, Juanita Barras and Kathy Stelly.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Ruble Robicheaux; and husband, Jerry P. LaCoste Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Wilfredo Decal celebrating the Mass. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. until Mass time on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church.
Following Mass, Mary will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
