MATILDA ‘TILLIE’ GALLOW-EDWARDS

Matilda “Tillie” Gallow-Edwards, 85, a native of Ville Platte and resident of Berwick, died Monday, October 27, 2014, at 12 p.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 1 at the St. John Baptist Church in Berwick, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Entombment will be in the Berwick Cemetery.
“Mrs. Tillie” leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Melvin (Sandra) Edwards of Spring, TX, Michael Edwards of Berwick and Henry (Linda) Edwards of Winder, GA; two daughters, Barbara Porsche and Ophelia Green, both of Morgan City; two sisters, Sophvila Toussiant of Ville Platte and Mary Charles of Houston, TX; special friends, Martha Cox and Geraldine Clark; 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, five sons, a sister and two brothers.
