Matilda 'Tillie' Gallow-Edwards

Matilda “Tillie” Gallow-Edwards, 85, a native of Ville Platte and resident of Berwick, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at her residence.
Visitation will be Saturday at the St. John Baptist Church in Berwick from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Entombment will be in the Berwick Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Edwards of Spring, Texas, Michael Edwards, of Berwick, and Henry Edwards, of Winder, Georgia; two daughters, Barbara Porsche and Ophelia Green, both of Morgan City; two sisters, Sophvila Toussiant, of Ville Platte, and Mary Charles of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, five sons, a sister and two brothers.
