MELVIN R. ‘BUTCH’ WILSON JR.

Melvin R. “Butch” Wilson Jr., 61, a native and resident of Franklin, died Friday, October 24, 2014, at 6:40 a.m., at the Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 1 at Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin, from 8 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
Melvin “Butch” leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Wilson of Franklin; two sons, Michael Bob of Franklin and Darius Bob of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Shunekera Conner and Kyla Webb, both of Franklin; a sister, Doretha “Sally” Mitchell of Missouri City, TX; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
