MICHAEL JAMES MANEAU

Michael James Maneau, 56, a resident of New Orleans, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Michael was born December 13, 1957 in Lafayette to the late Martin and Corinne Maneau. He grew up in Garden City and Franklin. Michael was a proud 1980 graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, and a devoted employee of Marriott Hotels for 27 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Laura Tyler-Maneau and children, Chaz and Chasity (Kricket) Tyler. He is also survived by siblings, Prunella, Martin Jr. (Marion), Marcus (Marie), Donald (Juanita) and Darrell (Jeanne) Maneau; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Franklin and Lory (Leonard Jr.) Fournette; Aunt Lorena Charles and Uncle Paul Maneau; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with colleagues from Marriott Hotels, LSU Health Sciences Center, the United States Army and the United States Air Force, all are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (St. Jude) at 411 N. Rampart St, NOLA 70112. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment follows at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Hwy., Metairie, LA 70003.
