MURIEL MARGARET TRAHAN-MOUTON

Muriel Margaret Trahan-Mouton, 73, a native of Abbeville and a resident of Gueydan, La., died on Monday, September 15, at 12:29 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Hubbard United Church of Christ, 201 Twelfth St. in Gueydan, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Gueydan Cemetery. The Rev. John Allen will be officiating minister.
Muriel Margaret leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Bradley (Collette) Mouton and Tung Van Mouton, both of Gueydan, Brian (Norma) Mouton of Crowley and Albert (Cynthia) Mouton of Rayne, La.; four daughters, Mrs. Adam “Boozie” (Terry) Dora, Mrs. Joseph Ruben (Bessie) Mouton, Mrs. Michael (Alma) Smith and Tracey Mouton-Bourque, all of Gueydan; one sister, Mrs. Murray (Vergie) Mitchell of Gueydan; one brother, Allen (Jo Ann) Trahan of Gray, La.; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Margaret is also survived by her pets, Jake and Gibeau Mouton; and a best friend and companion for many years, Leroy DeReoun.
Mrs. Mouton was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, two grandchildren, three nephews and two great nephews.
Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City/ Franklin/ Jeanerette/ Houma is in charge of arrangements.
