MURPHY GREEN

Murphy Green, 82, born in Eunice, a native and grew up in Garden City, and a resident of Patterson, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 2:15 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Green was employed and retired from the Petroleum Club in Morgan City. After retirement, he also did janitorial work for Awaopaho Litterbox Rental, Inc. of Morgan City.
Wake services will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Triune Church of God In Christ, 1118 Barrow Street in Franklin, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Another viewing and visitation will resume on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Triune Church of God In Christ from 9 a.m. until the beginning of funeral services at 11 a.m., with Elder Donald Lancelin officiating. Burial will immediately follow the services in the Franklin Cemetery.
Mr. Green leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Patricia Green-Sophus (Shane) and Lisa Granger, both of New Iberia; two brothers, Aljay Green and Beuford Green (Magaline), both of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sisters, Geraldine (Lester) Green of Austin, Texas., Mable Brown and Carolyn (Herman) Porter, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Green and Mable Simpson-Green; his wife, Patricia Green, two brothers, Isaiah Green and Jerry Green; four sisters, Lola Mae Darby, Eloise Green Barnett, Stella Vaughn and Essie Green.
