Nhu Van Nguyen

Nhu Van Nguyen, 88, a native of Bui Chu, Vietnam, and a long-time resident of Amelia, died Friday May 16, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, La Thi Vu; five sons, Du Van Nguyen, Phong Ngoc Nguyen, Ba Van Hoang, Ho Van Nguyen and Trung Van Nguyen; six daughters, Khuyen Nguyen Tran, Vong Thi Nguyen, Luu Thi Nguyen, Lua Thi Nguyen, Chin Thi Nguyen and Mung Thi Nguyen; two sisters, Vi Thi Tran and Hat Thi Nguyen; 53 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Nhu was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, a daughter and a grandson.
He was a member of Thauh Gia (Holy Family) Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Hargrave Funeral Home.
A Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Amelia.
Visitation will be held Saturday at Hargrave Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until dismissal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia. He will be laid to rest in The St. Andrew’s cemetery.
