OLIVER WILLIAMS

Oliver Williams, 73, a native of Morgan City and resident of Patterson, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson.
Visitation will be Saturday at Mason United Methodist Church in Berwick from 8 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Briant Williams of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Lisa M. Williams-Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; his stepmother, Sarah Johnson of Morgan City; three brothers, James Cox Sr. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Aldwin Cox of Morgan City and Robert Williams of Patterson; two sisters, Johnnie B. Crandle of Morgan City and Linda Hamilton of Metairie; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one uncle; two great-aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
