PATSY 'MRS. PAT' BERTHELOT HEBERT
September 30, 1928-July 13, 2015
Patsy “Mrs. Pat” Hebert, born in Patterson and a resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, in Thibodaux, at the age of 86.
Pat loved her family with all her heart and was very involved in all their lives. She dedicated her life to her husband and family. She was well-known for having been the owner and operator of Mrs. Pat’s Nursery School for 20-plus years. She impacted the lives and memories of countless preschoolers and their families.
Pat was a faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters. She was also active in the Come Lord Jesus group and The Holy Cross Bereavement committee.
Pat leaves behind her daughters, Debbie Kolcun and husband, Andy, Susie Moore and husband, Bob, and Liz Mitchell; and sons, Sammy Hebert and wife Sue, and Tim Hebert and wife Joan. She leaves behind a sister, Myrl Barousse and a brother, Garver Watkins. Her grandchildren are Amy Kolcun Bauer and husband Matt, Meghan Kolcun Miller and husband Todd, Micah Andrew Kolcun and wife Summer, Jamie Hebert Gros and husband Michael, Lacey Hebert Biondo and husband Jared, Mathew Glenn Moore, Maggie Moore Bagwell and husband Dustin, Patrick Lee Moore, Kimberly Mitchell Aucoin and husband Larry, Adam Ryan Mitchell, Morgan Elizabeth Mitchell, Connor Evans Hebert, John Charles Hebert, and Spencer Edmund Hebert.
Her great-grandchildren include Noah, Devon and Marian Bauer, Colson and Kerigan Miller, June, Sally and Michael Kolcun, Adeline and Emily Biondo, Grayson, Matthew and Mary Beth Gros, and Landon and Kinsley Aucoin.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Evans A. “Bubber” Hebert Jr.; parents Clophas and Enola Berthelot; sisters, Joyce Couch, Madeline Kelly, Dixie Mendoza, and Sammie Jo Lormand.
Pallbearers to serve are Micah Andrew Kolcun, Adam Ryan Mitchell, David Edgar Barousse Sr., Mathew Glenn Moore, Connor Evans Hebert, Michael Thomas Gros, Patrick Lee Moore, Jared Paul Biondo, and Edgar Overton Barousse III.
Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Bagwell, Larry Aucoin, Matt Bauer and Todd Miller.
Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2015, at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church, officiated by the Very Rev. Jay Baker, V.G.
Mrs. Pat will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Elementary School, Central Catholic High School, Berwick Elementary School, St. Joseph Elementary, and E.D. White Catholic High School.
