Mr. Boudreaux was a native of St. Landry Parish and a 52-year resident of Patterson, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Maison Deville Nursing Home in Houma.
Mr. Boo was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a true family man and loved having family gatherings. He also had a love of music and enjoyed playing his guitar, harmonica, and singing. His true passion, though, was fishing. There weren’t many who could out-fish him, especially sac-a-lait and bass, which he won many trophies for. Many will also remember him from his 31 years as owner and operator of Boo’s Kwik Stop in Patterson, where you could always get the best boudin in town, fresh fish, as well as one or two good fishing stories. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Myrna Best Boudreaux; his five children, Paul Boudreaux Jr. and wife, Kathy, Sherry B. Lester and husband, Vincent, Lynn B. Hebert and husband, David, Lonnie B. Boudreaux and wife, Angie, and Janet B. Rink; his 12 grandchildren, Katie B. Paige, Vincent Lester, Erica C. Suire, Micah Crochet, Chris Hebert, Christina H. Browder, Casey Hebert, Lorie B. Bergeron, Clay Boudreaux, Emily B. Montgomery, Tysie Rink, and Scott Rink; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elie Boudreaux, Wesley Boudreaux and C. Boudreaux; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. Boudreaux and Melaide Ledoux Boudreaux; his son-in-law, Kenny Rink; his grandson, Bradley Boudreaux; his great-granddaughter, Kyrsten McMullen; as well as seven brothers and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent Lester, Clay Boudreaux, Jeff Suire, Cade Suire, Scott Rink, and Grady Bergeron Jr.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staffs of Haydel Memorial Hospice and Maison Deville Nursing Home for the loving care and compassion given to Mr. Boudreaux during his final days.
