PEGGY BOURG
September 28, 1937 - January 9, 2017
Peggy Bourg, a native of Baldwin passed away on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 at her home in Garden View Assistant Living of Lafayette at the age of 79.
Peggy lived for her husband, children and especially for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The caregiver in the family, Peggy held the family together with her love and devotion and found her joy and happiness among them. Peggy will be greatly missed by her family but they are peaceful in the knowledge that she is finally reunited with the love of her life Macky.
The daughter of the late Milton and Blanche Boudreaux and wife of the late Malcolm Bourg, Peggy was preceded in death by her siblings, Aubrey Boudreaux, Ned Broussard, Jackie Bateman, Jacklyn Hidalgo, and Michael Lanza; her son-in-laws, Michael Babin, Steven Henry, and Roy Blaine.
Those left to cherish Peggy’s memory are: daughter, Lisa Bourg Gaudet and her husband, Gary, of Berwick; their children, Marci Sanford, Jennifer Felton, and Stephanie Rodriguez; daughter, Kelli Bourg Knight and her husband, Donald, of Berwick; their children, Ron Babin, Alanna Knight, and Wesley Knight; daughter, Katy Bourg Bates and her husband, Jan, of Lafayette; their children, Heath Henry, Hannah Blaine, and Jessica Bates; her brother, Raymond Boudreaux of Baldwin and ten great grandchildren.
The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Peggy at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church of Morgan City with Peggy being laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum following services.
Acting as pallbearers are Ron Babin, Heath Henry, Wesley Knight, Jason Sanford, Brandon Felton, and Andrew Rodriguez
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Garden View Assistant Living Staff and Aids, All Care Nurses, the sitters from Griswold Home Care, Hospice of Acadiana and a longtime friend, Jane Barras Pierron.
