PETER JONES

Peter Jones, 64, a native of Lafayette and resident of Jeanerette, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:30 a.m., at his residence in Jeanerette.
Visitation will be observed from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday May 30, at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Jeanerette, with a rosary being recited at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dismas Mauk, SYD serving as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Cherished and divine memories will forever be remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Ida T. Jones of Jeanerette; two children whom he was very proud of Melissa A. Jones-Mabry (Walter) of Killeen, TX and Anthony L. Jones of Jeanerette; one brother, Wilbert Jones Jr. of St. Louis, MO; five sisters, Dora Charles, Juanita Jones, Catherine Jones, Cheryl Jones and Marilyn Jones, all of Jeanerette; the Jeanerette “Back of Town Boys & Crew”; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and several other relatives and friends.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, four sisters, five brothers, two sisters-in-law; four aunts and two uncles; one great aunt and one nephew.
