THE REV. JOSEPH FIELDS

The Rev. Joseph Fields, 91, a native of Columbus, Texas, and resident of Centerville, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at his residence.
Visitation will be Friday at St. Luke Baptist Church in Patterson from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in New Iberia. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Fields of Centerville; four sons, Wilfred Fields of Garden City, Vernon Fields of Belle Rose, and Lionel Fields and Michael Fields, both of Galveston, Texas; four daughters, Shelia Jones of Morgan City, Debra Thomas of Centerville, Cynthia Fleming of Franklin and Pamela Randle of Garden City; 16 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a daughter, and a sister.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
