REV. LESLIE HYPOLITE JR.

The Reverend Leslie Hypolite Jr., 66, a resident of Franklin and native of Jeanerette, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 5 p.m. surrounded by family and friends at his residence.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday July 2, 2016 from 7 a.m. until funeral services at 10 a.m., at the Believers Family Worship Center, 1604 E Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia. The Rev. Jeffery Archangel Sr., Pastor, and the Rev. James Drumgole of the Living Word Church of Baton Rouge will serve as the Eulogist. Committal and Burial services will follow funeral services in the Rising Sun Cemetery in Jeanerette.
Answering the call, according to Jeremiah 3:15, “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Leslie served as a Pastor, Minister and Friend.
Memories of this great man, who touched so many lives through his ministry, will forever remain in the hearts of his wife of 43 years, Bernice S. Hypolite; three sons, Wesley Hypolite and Dexter Hypolite Sr., all of Franklin, and Terry Thompson of Jeanerette; one brother, Artia Hypolite of Destrahan, LA; one sister, Carolyn B. Jack of Jeanerette; six grandchildren; two goddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Reverend Hypolite was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
